Continuing on FIJI time we have not done much over the weekend.

On Saturday Night we said goodbye to Va, our Pool Bar cocktail/mocktail connessoir. She has the next 2 days off and doesn’t start on Tuesday until after we have left for the airport… sigh… 

Oh well, I guess it will be a blessing for the room charge.

Sunday night we went to the Sofitel for Buffet dinner. It was so good we went back this morning (Monday) for buffet breakfast.

Today (Monday) is our last full day here, we leave tomorrow afternoon for Melbourne.

So I’m going to finish this blog post and enjoy what little time I have left around the pool.
If you’re having a bet on the Melbourne Cup I hope you back a winner.

Vanessa and Kerrie-Anne went on a day cultural experience tour, which included a river trip.

Whist it was an experience for Vanessa and Kerrie-Anne, I don’t think the villagers expected it to be an experience for them!

After the locals taught Vanessa how they dance, then she showed them how she dances!

After such a busy day on Sunday, Monday morning was a sleep-in…  yeah. 

Tuesday – Vanessa & Kerrie-Anne went on a half-day tour to the Garden of the Sleeping Giant, whist Ben & Kristie relaxed around the pool.

Tuesday Night was Lovo night… Where they cook roast in a traditional camp oven..  Personally I think us Australian Scouts could teach them a thing or 2.. The meat was dry…

They also did some traditional dancing..  I will put up videos on Flickr when I return home.

Wednesday – Vanessa & Kerrie-Anne went to Nadi Town to get some groceries. Kristie and Ben cleaned the apartment.

Thursday – Another Sleep-in day….  we are really on FIJI Time now..
